Scotland, I Want A Divorce

SCOTLAND

Previously it has always been thought that the Scots exist only to dislike the English despite being almost completely dependent upon English tax revenues to subsidise their own economy.  Now it seems they have turned on the US with the release of a nasty man who had been involved in the killing of a lot of people by blowing up an Aeroplane over Lockerbie.  Killing 270 people, 189 of whom were American.

Scotland, a nation with comparatively high unemployment, alcoholism and an over-inflated sense of history, released the mass-murdering terrorist on compassionate grounds because the poor chap is said to be terminally ill.  The US responded by condemning Scotland’s actions with Obama saying the prisoner release was “a mistake”.  David Mundell, a Conservative MP, described the scenes as “sickening”.  He said “Alex Salmond’s government has made a mistake of international proportions.”  There are questions over whether or not he is actually guilty, but ones faith has to reside in the verdict unless over-turned by appeal.

The Scottish National Party, SNP, are usually only concerned with pouring hate upon the English while at the same time trousering as much as they possibly can from English taxpayers.  Scotland is one of the only economies in the world where state spending is more than the amount generated in Taxes.  England, already subsidising Wales and Northern Ireland, have to make up this shortfall and at the same time put up with constant and unbridled abuse from north of the border.

The SNP would like an immediate vote on independence from the Union in Scotland.  This is a nonsense, as the people with a good reason to break the historic union would the ones paying for it – the English.  Scotland’s freeloading must stop, and the release of a mass-murderer to Libya, where he received a hero’s welcome (images that are broadcast straight in to the homes of the victims families) is going too far as the entire UK is guilty by association.

Bizarrely, Scotland’s demand for independence is futile as the nation cannot exist without most of the population actually having a job.  Therefore, independence from the British Union only means further dependence on the European Union.  Queue ‘Braveheart 2: Och ah hate those wee European bastards’.

The horrific release of the murderer has raised eyebrows across the country and questions about the decision makers in Holyrood who are responsible.   Tam Dalyell, a former MP for West Lothian said in 1977

For how long will English constituencies and English Honourable members tolerate… at least 119 Honourable Members from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland exercising an important, and probably often decisive, effect on English politics while they themselves have no say in the same matters in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?

32 years later and the question has been adapted slightly

For how long will English constituencies and English Honourable members tolerate Scotland?

The people of Northern Ireland, Wales and England all deserve at least the same level of public spending as those in Scotland, even if it requires that the Scots are cut loose from the club.
